Yesterday was our 4 year wedding anniversary. My mom and Aunt Laura babysat for the kids and we went out to dinner. We were craving Mexican so badly and we wanted to go to Tortilla Flats which is our family's favorite restaurant and we have been going there for like 20 years. Quick, cheap and good food. Well, Tortilla Flats has gone out of business!!!! Yes, Karen, it went out of business. Karen and I used to go there ALL the time. So sad. So we ended up going to Tequila's in Brookfield. It was ok, not that great, but whatever, it was so nice to get out and be with my husband and not have kids. It was so funny because when I was leaving, I didn't have a purse! My purse has been packed away since I got home from the hospital with Scott. Whenever I go anywhere, I just pack the diaper bag and my wallet and cell phone go in there. What else do I need to carry around in a purse? Makeup?? Riiight! So that was a funny thing. I ended up not bringing anything except for my cell phone which fits right into my pocket thanks to my husband for getting me the sleek hot pink razor phone. I am so cool, all the teenage girls are envious of me.
Well, Scott is doing ok on the Nutramigen. We had been using the ready to use cans and found out they do make it in the powder formula, so to try and save a little bit on money, we bought that. But it will NOT dissolve completely. I don't know what the issue is. Enfamil.com is probably so sick of seeing my name b/c I keep emailing them about this formula, but whatever, their powder sucks and I had to tell them. I want to know if anyone else has encountered this issue. I did boil water and mixed the powder in the hot water which worked a little bit better but I don't know if that is ok to mix the formula powder in hot water and then refrigerate?? That does not seem right to me. Whatever, I bought the concentrate formula today and hopefully that works. He just seems so gassy whenever he is on powder anything, but I don't know why that would make a difference. Anyone?? Last night he did sleep from 9 until 4am! Getting closer to sleeping through the night. Although, that really throws me off when he doesn't get up at 2am and then again at 6am b/c if he gets up at 4, I go back to sleep and won't wake up until Olivia does at 7 and that REALLY makes us late. I like when he gets up at 6 and then I put him back down after he eats and I have a little while to get everything ready etc before Olivia gets up.
I am so excited for Christmas! I haven't been able to get into the mood yet, even wrapping presents and the house decorated, I just can't. Erik is feeling the same way. Usually every year he does all of the shopping and really gets into, but not this year. I think it's because it has been so warm and we haven't had any snow yet! Bummer.
