We hosted New Year's Eve here at our house last night. It was a great time. My Aunt Laura, Uncle John, Marissa, Christopher, my little cousin Meagan, my stepdad Mark, my cousin Mike, his wife Sarah and their kids Lindsey and Mason, my cousin Doug and his fiance Lindsay, my cousin Andrew and his wife Heidi and Heidi's parents Penny and Moose (they were still in town from WI) and my friend Stefanie and her husband Tom with their daughter Payton all joined the festivities.
We had TONS of food that my Aunt Laura prepared which was awesome and my cousin Mike made his famous wings. I set up this Dora tent in Olivia's room which takes up about 3/4 of her room (so that needs to come down today) and all of the kids stayed up there for most of the night with the help of Marissa and Meagan and they played and stayed out of our hair!
My kids crashed out. I tried giving Olivia a nap during the day so she would be able to last, but she wouldn't nap, so she crawled up on my lap at 10pm and fell asleep within seconds. I kept Scott up as late as I could so he would sleep later, he went to bed at 11pm. I was then kidless!! That was nice to have some time to hang out and not worry about them. The party ended around 1:30am and I went straight to bed! I am exhausted today.
