Zachary & Gerald's B-day

Yesterday was my godson Zachary and his dad Gerald's birthday. We celebrated with a party at Michelle and Gerald's house. We had a great time. The kids played ALL day long and such a blast. Olivia is actually still sleeping at 10am this morning. She is exhausted!

Zachary's godfather, Tom was there (whom I call my GodHusband, LOL). We got to FINALLY meet the fantastically awesome man in his life, Brian. I think he is one of the nicest guys I have ever met in my life and can't wait to hang out with him more.

It was a great day...and night and all the kids had fun and were very well behaved, although Michelle's house was absolutely trashed. Sorry Michelle, hope you are having fun this morning cleaning up without too much of a headache...LOL! Love you!

Happy Birthday Zachary & Gerald!

Pedaling Away!

After everyone left yesterday after taking pics of the 06 boys, I took Olivia and Scott outside for a couple of hours. It was gorgeous and the thought of even sitting inside for a second was devastating. While we were taking the pics of the boys, Uncle Mike took Olivia and Lindsey to the park, so Olivia spent about 95% of the day yesterday outside, but I still wanted to get outside late yesterday afternoon with them. We walked and walked and walked and then Olivia wanted to ride her bike. We had gotten her this tricycle last year for Easter, but she really couldn't get the pedaling down and got really frustrated, so she usually just rode the automatic quad that Grandpa got her last year for Christmas.

She got right on the tricycle yesterday and pedaled away. It was so cute! She went backwards a few times and got mad and didn't want to try again, but she did. I took some pics of her getting frustrated b/c I was laughing and then she would get even more mad, but I couldn't help it! I, of course, clapped and jumped up and down when she got the hang of it. We just need to work on steering now! LOL

Don't mind the pics of Scott in the hot pink stroller, but this stroller was an absolute FORTUNE and I had bought it for Olivia as an easy lightweight umbrella stroller which was great when we travelled and flew to WI last summer. It was a floor model which was still ridiculously expensive, but I had to have it and it was hot pink, so poor Scott will now have to live with it when he is not in the big stroller!!!

The 06 Boys!!!

We finally did it! We were all able to get together and have the 06 Boys play together. The pictures are so funny and it was even more funny while we were taking them trying to get them all to look at the same time or try and get them to stop chewing on each other, etc, etc, but it was fun.

I had Sarah and Mason, Ryan and Jackson and Amanda and Sam come over to visit with me and Scott today. We had brunch and hung out and laughed about how the boys are all doing about the same thing now. Sam and Jackson are about 4 days apart, born in October and 6 weeks later came Scott in November and 2 weeks later in December was Mason. It is going to be so fun watching them as they all get older and get to play with each other. We said we have to do this about every 6 months to get pictures of them b/c it is great how we all had boys in 06, so I donned them with the name, "The 06 Boys". I am so clever, I know, I know!

Kidless

Erik and I are kidless! Yippee! My mom has been watching the kids all week since school was out so we thought we would give her a break for tomorrow and my inlaws said they would take them tonight until Saturday. They were actually just going to take Scott, but I am not so sure that would have gone over ok with Olivia since she begs me daily to go to Bestema and Papa's house. She actually cried so much about it last weekend that they took her overnight one night. They had a great week with my mom and got their grandma fill so now they will spend the weekend with Bestema and Papa. My mother in law leaves next month to go back to Norway until next Fall/Winter, so Olivia is going to be devastated and will miss her so much, so I know how much my mother in law cherishes every moment she can spend with them and they absolutely love going there.

I took some pics from last Saturday from poker night at Aunt Laura and John's and some pics of Scott and Mason playing on the floor. I took some pics of Scott tonight and Olivia outside waiting for Bestema to pick her up!

Happy Birthday to Me

Ok Karen b/c you know me and my family sooooo well, you were pretty much correct on both accounts. We combined the birthday in pizza (instead of eating out) at Aunt Laura's followed by cake! LOL For everyone else, Karen left me a message wishing me a happy birthday b/c we weren't home and she said b/c she knew my family so well that we were out having pizza or having birthday cake at Aunt Laura's. She got it!

My day was great. My co-workers decorated my desk at work and brought in LOTS of goodies. We snacked all day long. I even got the most beautiful flowers delivered to me at work from a "Secret Admirer"! After a process of elimination I have concluded that most likely the flowers are from Erik, but it was fun making everyone "ooh" and "ah" all day thinking I really did have a secret admirer. That was fun.

Last minute plans we ended up at Aunt Laura's for pizza and cake. Here are some pics. I figured since I take pics of every other occasion, why not some of me! I look HORRIBLE in every photo, no make up, hair is dirty and a mess and I look gigantic, but whatever, it's my party and I will cry if I want to.

Love to everyone and thanks for ALL of the birthday wishes today...even Wesley from USI at work!

Easter

Happy Easter everyone! We went to Aunt Laura's today for Easter. It was Aunt Laura (no John, he was working), Marissa, Chris, my mom, Mark stopped by for a bit, me, Erik, Olivia, Scott, Tricia, Katelyn, Meagan, Kyle, Doug, Lindsay, Andrew, Heidi, my inlaws Ted & Signy, my sister in law Amanda's Mom Nita and baby Sam. I think I got everyone. My brother in law Dave and sister in law Amanda weren't able to come due to an extremely unfortunate situation. Dave's best friend passed away very unexpectedly Thursday night and they were staying with his wife and baby daughter. Horrible tragedy and our prayers and thoughts are with his wife Estelle and their daughter. We missed Dave and Amanda very much but it was nice seeing Sam.

We had a very nice day and ate TONS of fantastic food.

Enjoy the pics, of course I took tons. I love the ones from this morning of Olivia and Scott with their Easter baskets that were about 3 times bigger than them. LOL What was the Easter Bunny thinking!?!?!?!?!

I also LOVE the pics of Olivia outside with her bonnet and purse. She looks exactly like me when I was that age, especially the fact that the pictures are taken outside at Cedarbrook where I grew up. How many pictures do I have of myself at 3 next to that rock or walking down the sidewalk.

Love you all and again, Happy Easter!

Coloring Easter Eggs

The kids all colored their Easter eggs last night at Aunt Laura's. This was the first year that Olivia colored Easter eggs. She had done it twice this week already at Little School and Pre-school, so she was a pro. They had lots of fun. Katelyn, Meagan and Kyle were there as well with Marissa, Chris and Olivia. Unfortunately my camera's battery was dead at the end, so I was unable to get a picture of the final products. :(

The guys were in the livingroom watching the Yankee game that I was supposed to be at! Ergh! Oh well, glad I didn't go to freeze my butt off to see the Yanks loose. Come on Yanks!!!!!!!!

The Kids

Oh boy, being at work has really made me a slacker with this "active" blog huh? My friend Karen today called me out on the fact that she was getting a little aggravated that she takes the time to check my blog daily and I haven't posted anything is a week! LOL I told her I would get right on it tonight when I got home from work, so that is what I am doing.

Some updates: Olivia had her follow up visit with the ENT today and her ears are great, totally clear and the tubes are fine. She got fitted for her ear plugs which are pink (go figure) and she HATED them, screamed bloody murder while the nurse tried to put them in. This should be fun at bath time and swimming this summer. The ENT wants to see her back in 3 months for hearing tests and another follow up. Other than that, she has been fine, still not eating though, but I think that is just her, nothing to do with her ears or anything like that. Oh well, what can you do? She had an Easter show at school on Tuesday and I brought my camera (of course) to take pics, but there were a bazillion people there and you couldn't see ANYTHING. The kids all sat on the floor and when Olivia couldn't find me in the crowd, she got upset and went and sat on the teacher's lap for the entire show, so there were no worthy pictures. Oh dear.

Scott has been doing great. He loves his Aunt Shel and he seems so happy there, which is great. I hope Aunt Shel doesn't get tired of him any time soon...wink, wink! He has rolled over from tummy to back and back to tummy. Of course I haven't seen it yet, but that is par for the course of a working mommy...tear. I think he is getting teeth, but who knows, runny nose and drooling like crazy. We will see on that. Olivia was 10 months before she got her first tooth.

Work has been absolutely crazy for me. It is like I never left, never had 4 months off of work. That is not nice at all. It is nice to be back in a routine, but I am absolutely exhausted when I get home that it is hard for me to motivate to do anything.

Erik has been doing well too. Work is busy for him and he is now helping our friends Tom and Stefanie put in their cabinets etc, for their new kitchen as a side job which is great.

Last night Sarah came down with Mason and Lindsay. The pics are from last night of the kids. Too cute!!! Olivia andLindsay were acting goofy, so all of their pics were silly, but still cute.
