Scott & Mason's Party

The party was a success! I can't believe it's over. It was like a wedding, all of that prep work and it's over before you know it. Everyone had a great time and the boys did too but were absolutely exhausted by the end of the night.

It was a fall harvest theme. Sarah and I hung streamers downstairs with dried leaves hanging from the bottom...like falling leaves. Yes, that's right Sarah and I ran around Friday afternoon in the yard collecting leaves. The goody bags were brown lunch bags with a handprint of Mason and a footprint of Scott's on the front and dried leaves on the bag. We hauled in 4 bales of hay! Yes, hay. We decorated the front walk with hay and pumpkins that we wrote out "Happy 1st Birthday Scott & Mason" on. So cute! All of the paper goods etc were fall themed as well.

The boys had matching outfits on...so adorable. The gift opening was absolute madness. I don't think we mixed anything up, but what chaos. Thanks Michelle for taking pics for us!

Bear with me, there are over 100 pics, but I did take some in the beginning of the day, but I had Michelle give me hers as well since I gave up on taking pics at the end. Make sure when you click on "view larger" to review the pics that you scroll down on each pic so you can see the caption of each photo. Sometimes the pic takes up the entire screen and some folks don't know to scroll down for the captions.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MASON AND SCOTT! WE LOVE YOU. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR BEING THERE TO CELEBRATE WITH US!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It's hard for me to even imagine that last year on Thanksgiving Scott was only 2 days old and I had just gotten out of the hospital the day before!

We went to Aunt Laura's for Thanksgiving this year. She did a fantastic job, my mom was there to help as well. They were up at the crack of dawn cooking. We had so many people there this year: Aunt Laura, Marissa, Chris, my mom, me, Erik, Olivia, Scott, Andrew, Heidi, Doug, Lindsay, my cousin Tricia, her boyfriend Mike and her 3 children, Katie, Meagan, Kyle and then Erik's parents, Ted and Signy, Erik's brother Dave, his wife Amanda, Sammy and Amanda's mom Nita and Amanda's little brother Colinmace and Heidi's friend Nina. It was such a beautiful day outside. We were actually able to sit outside and chat before dinner.

Sorry, it took me so long to post these pics for Thanksgiving, but I was up at the crack of dawn yesterday with Sarah, shopping, cleaning and setting up for the party which is today!!!!!!! Ugh, gotta get going!

I AM THANKFUL FOR THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT I HAVE, WITHOUT YOU, I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO!

Happy 1st Birthday Scott!

Yesterday was Scott's 1st birthday. Wow, I can not believe a year has passed already. We had dinner with Titi, Uncle John, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Andrew, Aunt Heidi, Marissa and Christopher. We sang Happy Birthday, but he was not thrilled about the candle. He got some of his gifts yesterday but the rest will come on Saturday when we have his big party with his cousin Mason...watch for those pics.

Today he went to the doctors for his 12 month check up. I officially have 2 little peanuts. Considering Olivia will be 4 in 10 days and still weighs 27 pounds, she is no longer even on the growth chart! Scott is only 20 pounds! I thought for sure with the way he was going he was going to outweigh his big sister. He is in the 50th percentile still for height but dropped to the 25th percentile for weight. :( I am sad! The doctor said it was fine and it's because he has become mobile. Still no walking and absolutely no interest in it what so ever. He also will NOT drink from a sippy cup which is terrible. He just throws it or chews on it, so that will be a challenge. We will switch to milk when I feel the courage...still have tons of formula left over since he was put on Nutramigen and it was mailed to my house. I am afraid to put him on milk, but perhaps he has grown out of his tummy issue and he will be ok. Olivia was on a bottle until 18 months, but that was my choice and my security, but she at least was drinking from a cup as well, she just wouldn't drink her milk from a cup, so I kept her on the bottle longer since she was so small. Guess Scott is following in his sister's foot steps!

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sure did! We went up to Mark's for the annual trick or treating in his neighborhood. Have you ever trick or treated with 18 kids and 16 adults...well don't try it! LOL It was insane! Everyone was all over the place, but we didn't lose anyone...not really anyway, one of the adults always had someone. LOL Olivia wore her 3rd costume. She was Dorothy and we used the Pocahontas wig from last year that she wore. I took the braids out and made them pony tails and tied blue ribbon in it. It was so cute!

Me of all people forgot my camera...WHAT?!?!? Thank you Sarah and Michelle for sharing with me!
