Memorial Day

Michelle and I went to PA this weekend with Scott, Olivia and Alexa to visit Steve and Diana and got to see their new house which is absolutely gorgeous! They had a party on Sunday. We had such a blast and the kids are absolutely exhausted! All in all, it was a great weekend and I hope everyone enjoyed theirs as well!

Scott's 6 month check up

Scott had his 6 month check up this past Tuesday. I can not believe how time is flying by. He is such a big boy. He now weighs 18 lbs, 9 oz and his 27 inches long. He weighs the same as what Olivia weighed at her first birthday! He is in the 75th percentile for weight, 80th for height. He's very tall! Just like daddy. He got 2 shots, :( poor boo. He was fine all day and then woke up at about midnight and had thrown up and had a runny nose and fever. The runny nose and fever are his normal reactions to the shots, so I was prepared for that, but wasn't sure why he got sick. He went right back to sleep, but for the next 3 days, he was throwing up. He was still his very happy self and acted completely fine except that he couldn't really keep much down. Erik and I were horribly sick all last week with a stomach bug that lasted for 4 days straight, so maybe that's what Scott had. Olivia didn't get anything. Today was the first day without throwing up for Scott, so hopefully it has run it's course! These pics of Scott were taken today.

My cousin Michelle and her daughter Alexa, Scott, Olivia and I are all going to PA tomorrow for the long weekend to visit with Steve and Diana. Look for the pics on that next week when we get back.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there and to the expectant ones too...:)

We celebrated at Aunt Laura's today. We all chipped in a bought Aunt Laura a new grill, that's right, I said grill. I know, it's more like a Father's Day gift, but she is the one who does the grilling and she wanted a new one! She was really surprised. It was great.

Tearful Goodbyes

Sorry I haven't added an entry in so long. Our computer was being upgraded and I was out of commission for a bit. Last Saturday we all took my mother in law out to dinner. She left this passed Tuesday to head back to Norway for the summer. She will be back in September. Dinner was great and my sister in law and I had the 3 kids pictures taken for Signy for her early mother's day/going away present. She absolutely loved it and we were so happy we had decided to get the pictures done.

We went back to my in laws after dinner and guess who ended up staying, yes, Olivia. She wouldn't leave. I think she kind of understood that Bestema was leaving and she wouldn't see her for a while. Signy started getting upset and Olivia crawled up on her lap and was saying, "Don't cry Bestema, it's ok, don't be sad". OMG, it was so adorable. So, Olivia stayed one more night with Bestema and Papa and I picked her up the following afternoon, last Sunday.

Signy left on Tuesday and she arrived safe and sound in Norway. Olivia misses her already and I don't think she quite understands that we can't just jump in the car and bring her there if she wants to visit like she normally does.
