Morgan Spiegel Has Arrived!!

Amanda gave birth to Morgan yesterday March 28th at 11:46 a.m. and she weighed in at 6lbs 2oz, 19 inches long. She is a precious tiny little peanut. She is actually bigger than her big brother Sammy was when he was born. Olivia and I took a trip to visit them in the hospital today and Olivia bought Morgan her first baby doll and was very excited to give it to her. They will be coming home tomorrow. Sammy was so cute with his new baby sister, very curious and kept pointing at her and saying "baby". He looked very concerned every time she cried too. He better get used to those cries!

We are all so excited about our new little niece and now Olivia is no longer the only princess among the 2 princes; Scott and Sammy. The Spiegel clan is complete!

Congratulations David and Amanda!

Happy Easter

My morning started out bright early with Scott, but Olivia was still sound asleep so before I brought Scott downstairs I quickly moved the Easter baskets up to somewhere out of sight from him because I knew he would tear into them in no time, so since he didn't really know what was going on, I kept them out of sight until Olivia woke up. She didn't fall asleep until late last night. I have a feeling she was having a little anxiety about a big bunny coming into the house. I am not even joking about that! She finally woke up and was quite excited at what the Easter Bunny had left. When Olivia and Scott were born Erik and I decided that for Easter they would always each receive a gift in addition to the Easter baskets since both of their birthdays are in winter and right near Christmas. We got Olivia the Cabbage Patch Doll that eats an ice cream cone and gets sprinkles all over her face, so funny, and we got Scott a summer truck and sand/summer toys. He was more interested in the stuff in Olivia's basket though. Very proud of myself since we didn't do any candy in either basket except some M&M's in the plastic eggs that we hid. We put arts and crafts stuff in Olivia's basket and some other odds and ends. I think she really enjoyed it and since she really doesn't know that the Easter Bunny normally brings candy, she was ok with that. They were so cute finding the eggs, Scott even found four all by himself.

We then headed over to Aunt Laura's with all the family there. We celebrated 3 birthdays; Katie's 15th, Andrew's 27th and Michael's 51st. Then we ate WAY too much. I can't wait to go to bed. :)

We missed the other 5 Spiegels from the Spiegel clan, but Amanda is about to have baby Morgan any day now, so she wanted to lay low and be comfortable so Mom and Dad decided to be low key with them as well. They were missed, but we love them and they know that!

Happy Easter everyone.

I thought it was cute to compare last year's Easter pic of Olivia and Scott to this year's...

Cameron Riley's Baptism

Tom and Stefanie had Cameron baptized today and Erik and I were so honored when they chose us to be godparents. Cameron looked absolutely angelic today and she was sooooo good! When it was time to have her baptized, she had just fallen asleep and looked like a precious little angel sleeping in my arms sucking on her little thumb. I could have just died it was so precious. Olivia and Payton sat quietly for the most part coloring.

I then went to the Easter Vigil at my church with Michelle (our Easter tradition) so I am very holy today since I spent 4 hours today in church. LOL, but it definitely feels wonderful!

We Love You Cameron...you are a beautiful Angel.

St. Patty's Day/Update on Scott

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I took a couple of pics of the kids dressed in green!

Scott started daycare today at Miss Eileen's house! This is were Olivia went when she turned 2, transitioning from Titi's house to Eileen's, and she went there until she turned 3 and then went to Preschool at St. Joe's. Scott did fantastic and absolutely loved it. I only called twice to check in! I love Eileen and love her teachings and daycare. She is so unbelievable with kids and I knew he would love it. He didn't even care that I was leaving, and that was ok with me. Olivia was the same way. He is going to go there M, W, F and my mom will watch Scott and Olivia on Tues and Thurs since Olivia is at school right now for preschool M, W, F, so it works out perfectly. Scott is going to miss Aunt Michelle, but he will get to visit all the time. We appreciate everything she did for us and he loved being there which made it very easy on me.

Here is a link to Eileen's blog, she posted pictures on there from today, Scott's first day.

There are pics of him outside playing like a big boy and coloring for his craft today!! There is another little boy there too, so Scott is the one in the navy blue jacket, red mittens and blue/red stripe hat. There are also pics of them playing inside. So cute!!!

A Baby Shower for Amanda

Yesterday was the baby shower for Amanda for the newest addition to the Spiegel family! The shower was at my inlaws house. Although the new baby and Sammy will only be 18 mths apart, we had a shower for her because this time it's going to be a girl!!! We had to get lots of girlie things. Wow, this baby girl is going to be THE BEST dressed little girl in the entire world! LOL I even brought a bin and a couple of bags of clothes for her to bring home from Olivia's wardrobe. I have to say that I am so proud at how many baby girls were able to wear these clothes. They started out with Alexa (Michelle's daughter), then moved to Lindsey (Sarah's daughter), then Olivia, then to Payton (Stefanie's daughter), then to Ashley down in PA (Diana's daughter), then back up to CT for Stefanie's 2nd daughter Cameron and now on to this new baby girl...Morgan Spiegel! Oh and don't forget that some were shared with Madi, Stefanie's niece during the mix! LOL Not to mention that the clothes are still all in fantastic shape. Then we all had to go and have boys at the same time, so no one has been able to have hand me downs for them! Hopefully Lindsey and Heidi will have boys b/c then we can make them the best dressed little boys in the world with all of these boy clothes we have waiting for them.

Yesterday was so much fun, great job Mom and Leesa! I was only able to snap a few pics since Scott was a little monster and running around like a mad man. He and Sam looked so cute in their little matching outfits from Bestema and unfortunately I didn't get a picture of it! ARGH!

Happy Birthday Marissa

Marissa celebrated her 12th birthday on Tues. the 26th. She is a lucky girl and had 3 birthday celebrations. Last weekend she had a slumber party with 14 of her friends. I had come over since my mom was hanging out with Laura overseeing the party, so Olivia and I dropped by to hang out too last Saturday night. It brought me back to 6th and 7th grade and remembering my slumber parties and the things we used to do and the the things we used to argue about! LOL Olivia actually ended up sleeping over with all of the girls. So cute!

We then celebrated Marissa's b-day with family on Tuesday her actual birthday and then yesterday we celebrated again with John's family. Yesterday was the first time I remembered my camera, so I only took a few pictures.

Happy Birthday Marissa
